Beyoncé band members go to this Kansas City barber ahead of concert. ‘It was amazing’

At 26, Danni Woods already has been cutting hair for six years. Her professional name is DanniCutIt and she’s a mobile barber in Kansas City. You need a cut? She can come to you.
On Saturday, three haircuts put her within one degree of separation of the woman bringing her monster Renaissance World Tour to a close at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium the next day: Beyoncé.
“God is good,” Woods wrote on Facebook Saturday, sharing that she had cut hair for three men in Beyoncé’s eight-member band, including drummer Diamond Johnson, who grew up in Johnson County.
“When you see them tomorrow you see me too!”
She got the job through a mutual friend who knew that the guys needed freshening up before the 56th and final concert of the tour. She trimmed up Johnson, trombone player Chris Johnson and music director/keyboard player Khirye Tyler.
“It was amazing. I never did expect it,” she told The Star on Sunday. “This is just something that happened and I’m just blessed to have the opportunity to do this for those guys.”
The band members aren’t the only entertainers to come to town and turn Kansas City into a mane attraction.
When Stevie Nicks came to Kansas City in August, the Fleetwood Mac goddess and her Arizona-based hair stylist used the amenities at Hair salon, 4125 Pennsylvania Ave.
Store employees pulled a salon sign from the wall and Nicks autographed it.
Woods had her work cut out for her.
She posted video on Facebook of one of the guys checking himself out in the hotel mirror before she cut his hair, examining his out-of-control beard and curls on top of his head and exclaiming, “dang that thing is crazy! You shoulda come on tour with us!.”
She wouldn’t have said no to that assignment. “It was an honor to be able to cut their hair,” she said.
Woods was on her way to her 9-to-5 job on Sunday and said she wouldn’t be able to go to the show at Arrowhead that night.
“I know that even though I won’t be able to attend the show in person, somehow it feels amazing knowing that my work is on stage, that I was able to be a part of it in some way, somehow,” she said.
And yes, she is a Beyoncé fan.
“Beyoncé, woo! Oh yes, love her very much,” she said.
