After months of anticipation, Beyoncé’s haircare line Cécred has finally dropped.

The name Cécred, pronounced sacred, is a combination of the superstar’s name and, what she calls, the sacred ritual of self-care.

“I built Cécred from the ground up,” the Queen Bey writes on the haircare line’s website. “I poured into it everything I’ve learned throughout my life so we can borrow some of our past and bring it to the future. Cécred is about prioritizing yourself and all the things you hold sacred.”

The product line was released on Tuesday, nine months after Beyoncé teased the venture on Instagram in May of 2023.

The “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer’s inspiration for the venture mainly comes from her mother, Tina Knowles.

The matriarch is a former hair stylist and salon owner.

Throughout her career, Knowles’ famous daughter often spoke about how impactful it was to see her mom run her own business and to be exposed to the “sacred space” the salon held for women.

Destiny’s Child used to perform at Knowles’ salon and the “Crazy In Love” singer’s first job was sweeping hair for her mother.

“It was in her salon that I realized my dreams of being a performer—inspired by one of her clients who happened to be an opera singer,” the 32-time Grammy winner told Essence magazine. “I was captivated by her stories of a recent trip to Germany. In awe, I distinctly remember telling my mom that I wanted to be just like her client. So much of the fabric of who I am came from her salon.”

Beyoncé is now hoping to extend those dreams to budding cosmetologists.

On the same day as her product launch, her BeyGOOD charity announced it has collaborated with Cécred to fund an annual $500,000 fund for cosmetology school scholarships and business grants across Los Angeles, New Jersey, Atlanta, Chicago and Houston.

The five cities were chosen for their “large, diverse community of hair stylists,” the announcement explained.

“Each year, 25 $10,000 financial aid student scholarships will be granted across five cosmetology schools with inclusive curriculums in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles and New Jersey.”

The criteria is that the student must be either currently enrolled in or have received an acceptance letter from one of the schools in partnership with this collaboration.

L.A.’s Universal College of Beauty, Janas Cosmetology Academy in New Jersey, Beaver Beauty Academy in Atlanta, Trenz Beauty Academy in Chicago and Franklin Institute in Houston.

The student must “demonstrate need due to financial hardship” as well as complete the application and reside in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, L.A. and New Jersey.

The application process opens on Feb. 20 and closes on March 20.

Recipients will be announced on April 20.

For the business grants, 25 $100,000 grants will be awarded to qualifying salon owners in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, and New Jersey “so they can continue their transformative impact in the community.”

The business grant criteria is as follows:

  • Has a lease agreement for a salon, suite, booth or chair or show proof of salon business ownership
