Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour Faces Delays, Cancellations Ahead of North American Leg
Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour is dealing with a few scheduling complications as it heads into its highly anticipated North American leg.
On Wednesday, it was announced that several of the singer’s tour dates are being rescheduled or cancelled due to logistical and scheduling issues.
The tour’s September 13 show in Seattle, Washington has been moved to September 14. The show’s Kansas City, Missouri, show has been moved several weeks back from September 18 to October 1. And the tour’s Philadelphia date at Acrisure Stadium has been cancelled.
Official announcements came from the concert venues hosting the rescheduled or canceled dates on Wednesday morning. The announcements all use the same language, blaming the changes on “production logistics and scheduling issues” and ensuring ticket holders that “previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date.” In the case of the cancelled Philly date, refunds are automatically being issued at the point of purchase.
Fans Worry About More Changes
The announcements came just days before the Renaissance World Tour kicks off its North American leg with a two-night run at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada.
The news of tour issues was quite the surprise for fans looking forward to the show — seeing that the singer’s European leg just wrapped on June 28 without any cancellations or dates being rescheduled.

Some ticket holders immediately expressed their disappointment over the date changes and cancellations — especially after the intense ticket purchasing process that many had to go through to secure Renaissance World Tour tickets.

However, upon further research by fans, it was uncovered that the rescheduled Seattle date is due to conflicts with the Seahawks football game schedule.
Ticket holders of currently unaffected show dates also expressed concerns about possible changes coming to their tour stops. This is especially true for New Orleans date holders.
New Orleans was initially the final show on the Renaissance World Tour. But with the Kansas City date being moved to October 1, the Kanas City show is now the final date. And there are questions if the NOLA date will be moved to some time in October to stick to the initial schedule of having it be the last date of the show.
Since beginning its European leg on May 10 in Sweden, the Renaissance World Tour has earned $67.5 million and sold 461,000 tickets across its nine May shows.
These impressive numbers led to the tour claiming the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Top Tours chart for May— making Beyoncé the first woman to reach the chart’s top spot since Pink in July 2019.
