Beyoncé Reportedly Signed a Three-Project Deal With Netflix

That means TWO more specials.

If you found yourself hungry for more Beyoncé after watching Homecoming on Netflix, today is your lucky day. Variety reported that Queen Bey is set to release not one but two more projects on the streaming service, after reportedly signing a $60 million deal with the platform.

Homecoming, which premiered on April 17, detailed Beyoncé’s groundbreaking 2018 performance at Coachella, where she was the first black woman to headline the annual festival. In addition to the documentary, Beyoncé released an accompanying live album of her Coachella set, along with a line of new Homecoming-themed merch.

According to Vulture, HBO, which aired Beyoncé’s Lemonade in 2016, was also interested in the singer-songwriter’s new project, but the network was allegedly outbid by Netflix. Vulture noted that HBO and Netflix did not provide comments on the matter; Variety reported that Netflix also declined to comment for its story.

Nevertheless, the possibility of two more Beyoncé films has been pretty exciting for fans — especially since no one seems to know what these future projects will entail, although some members of the Beyhive have plenty of ideas. Knowing Beyoncé, she’ll probably surprise us when we least expect it…and we’ll be ready, whenever that may be.
