Beyoncé sends ‘thank you’ flowers and note to Madonna for their Break My Soul remix

Beyoncé has sent a thank you note filled with praise and flowers to fellow musician Madonna, following the release of their collaboration on the Break My Soul remix.

Beyoncé, 40, released her latest album Renaissance - the first part of a three-part project - on July 29.

The album is centred on disco themes and the dance and house genre from popularised ballrooms.

Break My Soul was the first single to be released before the album, with the singer now sampling Madonna’s hit track Vogue into ‘The Queens Remix’ released on Friday.

Now the two popstars have collaborated, 63-year-old Madonna has taken to her Instagram story to share photos of the bouquet of white roses and flowers she received from the Heated singer on Tuesday.

Alongside the flower arrangement was a letter of thanks, stating: “Thank you, Queen.

“I am so grateful for you. You have opened so many doors for so many women. You are a masterpiece genius.

“Thank you for allowing me to sing in your song and thank you for naming the remix. Love always and forever, B.”

The Like A Virgin singer captioned the image with two red love hearts, adding: “thank you!! from one [crown emoji] to another [crown emoji]. I love the remix!”

Beyoncé reimagines the Vogue hit with a rap crediting her Black peers and idols in the music industry.

She says: “Rosetta Tharpe, Santigold / Bessie Smith, Nina Simone / Betty Davis, Solange Knowles / Badu, Lizzo, Kelly Rowl’ / Lauryn Hill, Roberta Flack / Toni, Janet, Tierra Whack / Missy, Diana, Grace Jones / Aretha, Anita, Grace Jones / Helen Folasade Adu, Jilly from Philly, I love you, boo / Don’t just stand there, get into it / Strike a pose, there’s nothing to it / Vogue!”

The Homecoming artist also makes references to: “Michelle Williams, Chloe Bailey, Halle Berry, Aaliyah / Alicia Keys, Whitney Houston, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj”.
