Beyonce has sent the internet into meltdown after mysteriously wiping all her social media profile pictures prompting fans to speculate that new music is imminent.

All of her profiles including Twitter, Instagram and YouTube, now all display a blank profile picture with “Beyonce is coming” soon trending online.

The 40-year-old Crazy In Love singer’s last full-length studio album Lemonade was released in 2016 and although there have been singles since then, her fans are desperate for more.

They took to social media to share their hopes that it didn’t just mean that the music icon was gearing up for another drop of her Ivy Park fashion brand.

“Is the new @Beyonce era upon us?” Wrote one fan, among the sea of comments.

Others said: “If Beyonce drops an album tonight at midnight I’m unavailable for the rest of the month!”

“The hive lined up to purchase this new album and tour tickets.”

“All here waiting patiently hoping Beyonce bringing us new music not another Ivy park collection.”

The mum-of-three revealed last year she had been slaving away in the recording studio for quite some time and that the finished product was coming.

Appearing on the September 2021 cover of Harper’s Bazaar, she said: “I’ve been in the studio for a year and a half. Sometimes it takes a year for me to personally search through thousands of sounds to find just the right kick or snare. One chorus can have up to 200 stacked harmonies.

“Still, there’s nothing like the amount of love, passion, and healing that I feel in the recording studio. After 31 years, it feels just as exciting as it did when I was nine years old. Yes, the music is coming!”

The Standard has contacted a representative for Beyonce for comment.
