"Standing in the light -- Got my angel now." Houston's own Beyonce recorded a touching memorial for the social media star.
BEYONCE: Standing in the light of your halo, I got my angel now. Because everyone we looking now,
- This is such a heartbreaking story, but that is Beyonce honoring the life of a 13-year-old Instagram sensation, Lyric Chanel. The teen died yesterday morning from brain cancer. She came to Houston last year for her fourth brain surgery, which took more than 12 hours. She survived it, and gain the support from celebrities like Beyonce and my friend Tre the Truth for her strength, resilience, and undeniable optimism during her fight with cancer. RIP, Lyric.
- She will not be forgotten.
- So many people thinking about and praying for her family this morning.
BEYONCE: Brown skinned girl, your skin just like pearls. The best thing about the world, I'd never trade you for anybody else. Singing brown skinned girl, your skin just like pearls. The best thing about the world, I'd never trade you for anybody else. Remember those walls are built, well baby they tumbling down. They didn't even put up a fight, they didn't even make a sound. I found a way to let you in, but never really had a doubt, standing in the light of your halo whoo, I got my angel now.
Because everywhere we're looking now, I'm surrounded by your embrace. Baby I can feel your halo. You know you're my saving grace. Honey, honey, I can see the stars, all the way from here. Can't you just see the glow on the window pane? And I can feel the stars whenever you're near. Every time you touch me I just melt away. Lyric, it's you. You're the one I love, and you are the one I need. You're the only thing I see. Come on, Lyric it's you. You're the one that gives your all. You the one I can always call. When I need you, baby, everything stops. Finally, you put my love on top. I love you with all of my heart.
