Beyond Paradise has confirmed production is already underway on its upcoming Christmas special and highly anticipated season 2.
Filming on the next batch of episodes from the Death in Paradise spin-off has begun, with Kris Marshall returning as DI Humphrey Goodman alongside Sally Bretton as Martha Lloyd.
BBC announced the news alongside a photo of the first slate from season 2.

The Beyond Paradise Christmas special and season 2 were first confirmed by BBC back in April following the success of season 1.
Marshall and Bretton have now shared their excitement for the upcoming episodes as filming has begun.
"I'm beyond excited to have begun filming the second series of Beyond Paradise,” Marshall said. "Shipton Abbott is such a wonderful location to call home for a while and it's a delight to join up with my fellow police team for another batch of weird and wonderful cases, and to see what's in store for Humphrey and Martha in the next chapter of their lives."

"Series one of Beyond Paradise was such a joy to be a part of and I'm ecstatic to have returned to what already feels like a second home in Shipton Abbott," Bretton added. "I can't wait for audiences to see what we have planned – the second series is set to be brilliant!"
Zahra Ahmadi, Dylan Llewellyn, Barbara Flynn and Felicity Montagu are also set to feature in both the Christmas special and season 2 alongside Marshall and Bretton.

The show's executive producer, Tim Key, insisted the cast and crew are already "hard at work to bring another series of humour, heart and of course some properly puzzling cases to [the] audience".
They also confirmed season 2 is being filmed in various picturesque locations across Devon and Cornwall.
Death in Paradise and its spin-off, Beyond Paradise, air on BBC One and stream on BBC iPlayer.
