BGE Gives Desks To Baltimore City Schools Kids Learning From Home

Video Transcript

- Baltimore City schools are slowly allowing different grades back into the classroom.

- But still, there are thousands of students learning from home. And BGE would like to make it just a little easier for some of those students. It is partnering with Stanley Black & Decker and Open Works to provide 20 desks to five different schools.

- We know once a student is comfortable and they have a safe space to work, they're academically more successful.

- It'll give him more structure. You know, it'll allow him to feel like, OK, I'm in school versus I'm in my room, and I really could turn the TV on.

- Structure, get it?

- Yes.

- And all of the pieces are cut out of a single sheet of plywood and can be assembled with no tools. It's made so students can put them back together.

- Well, that's even innovative.

- Exactly.

- That's fantastic.

- As long as you're staying safe, that's what matters.
