Apr. 7—BOWLING GREEN — The Bowling Green State University football program has hired Damaris Linker as its new director of operations.
A native of Lanark, Ill., Linker will oversee the daily operations of the Falcons football program, including travel arrangements and academic compliance.
Linker comes to BG from Texas Tech University where she was the director of operations for the school's volleyball program. At Texas Tech, Linker collaborated on recruiting, social media strategy, community service, and facility scheduling. She had held that position since January of 2020.
Before her stop in Lubbock, Linker served three seasons as the director of volleyball operations at the University at Mississippi. She also held that same position for two seasons at Ohio University.
At Ohio, her responsibilities included handling all team travel arrangements, planning camps, and team events, and assisting in other daily operations of the program.
Before that, Linker was an assistant volleyball coach at Rockford University in 2014.
Linker played volleyball at Quincy University from 2009-12, captaining the team. She earned Academic All-Great Lakes Valley Conference honors in three of those years. Linker served as a four-year member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She graduated with two bachelors of science degrees.
Linker then completed her master of science in recreation and sport sciences in December of 2016 at Ohio University.
Linker replaces BG's former director of football operations, Olivia Passy, who is now a scout for the Miami Dolphins. When Passy was hired by Falcons coach Scot Loeffler in 2019 at age 23, she was just the second female to hold her position at a Mid-American Conference school.
