Britain's Got Talent semi-finalist Kyle has revealed how close he came to quitting before starting the dance troupe KNE.

Kyle was previously part of the band Fundamentalists, but after the group split up, he found himself suffering a bout of depression, no longer wanting to be part of the industry.

Speaking to Metro, he said: "The truth of that is, the group that I was in before, when that came to an end, I didn’t want to do music anymore.

"I was really… That whole breakdown really hurt me and I would say I was very depressed for about a year, I didn’t really want to go back into music at all."

However, a producer friend of his named Michael soon got him back into music, and it wasn't long before he got his career going again.

"Michael just had a belief in me that I didn't have in myself, and he kind of got me back into liking music a little bit – not enough to do it, but I always told myself if I wanted to do music, I didn't just want to stand there and sing.

"That wasn't how I was raised – I was raised on Usher and Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson and Fred Astaires. I wanted to perform,’ he added.

Not long after that, Kyle got in contact with Isha, the dance choreographer with previous experience on Britain's Got Talent, who would later become part of KNE.

Britain's Got Talent live week will air all next week from May 27 in two blocks from 7.30pm and 9.30pm on ITV.
