OSP said in a statement that Hammons, 55, left the scene after medical personnel arrive turned and turned himself in Sunday to investigators. He was taken to the Marion County Jail and was arraigned Monday on a charge of hit and run. His bail was set at $20,000.

The investigation is continuing. Any witnesses are asked to contact the Oregon State Police, referencing case SP23-252845.
