Apr. 24—RANDOLPH COUNTY — A bicyclist was airlifted to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem after being hit by a car on Old Thomasville Road in Randolph County near the Davidson County line on Friday night.

The crash occurred near the intersection of Prospect Church Road shortly after 10 p.m., a State Highway Patrol dispatcher told The High Point Enterprise.

A Ford Mustang crossed the center lane and crashed head-on with a Jeep. The crash caused the Jeep to spin, flip over and hit the bicyclist.

The drivers and passengers in the Mustang and Jeep weren't seriously injured.

Further details, such as the condition of the bicyclist, weren't available Saturday afternoon.
