Video Transcript

- Hello?

JOE BIDEN: Hello?

- Hey, how are you doing?

JOE BIDEN: Well, I'm feeling better now. Nothing is going to make it all better, but at least, God, now there's some justice. And I think of Gianna [? coming, ?] my dad is going to change the world. He's going to start to change it now.

- That's right.

- Yes.

JOE BIDEN: We need to change it now. You've been incredible. You're an incredible family. I wish I were there just to put my arms around you. I'm standing here with Cedric. We've been talking, we were watching every second of this, and the Vice President, all of us. We're all so relieved. Not just one verdict, but all three. Guilty on all three counts. And that's really important. I'm anxious to see you guys, I really am. We're going to be a lot more done. We're going to get-- please, we're going to do a lot. We're going to stay at it until we get it done.

- And hopefully this is the momentum for the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act to get passed, to have you sign.

JOE BIDEN: You got it, pal. That, and a lot more. Not just that, but a lot more.

- Thank you, Mr. President.

JOE BIDEN: Well this can be our first shot at dealing with genuine systemic racism. Look, there's two people here who feel strongly as I do. The Vice President, she wants to say something.

- OK.

KAMALA HARRIS: I'm just so thankful to the entire family. Your courage, your commitment, your strength has been a strength for so many people, [INAUDIBLE]. And this is a day of justice in America, and your family have been [INAUDIBLE] to show real leaders at this moment, where we needed you. And in George's name and memory, we are going to make sure his legacy is intact, and that history will look back at this moment and know that it was an inflection moment. You had to sacrifice so much, your family did too. But we really do believe that with your leadership, and the President that we have in the White House, that we're going to make something good come out of this tragedy, OK?

- Thank you, Madam Vice President.

JOE BIDEN: And you better go get ready, because when we do it, we're going to put you on Air Force One and get you here.

- We're going to hold you to that, President Biden.

JOE BIDEN: I guarantee it.

- Thank you, Mr. President.

JOE BIDEN: The one I'm most concerned about is Gianna.

- She's OK. I'm going to go tell her in a few.

JOE BIDEN: Well I'm here, and my wife Jill is with me, too.

JILL BIDEN: Hi, how are you all?

- Thank you.

JILL BIDEN: Thinking about you. [INAUDIBLE] so had a good ending, but [INAUDIBLE] things are [INAUDIBLE]

JOE BIDEN: I don't know if it was worth it, but it's like I said, I keep thinking of her words, Daddy is going to change the world.

- Change the world.

- Thank God.

JOE BIDEN: Well, you got a shot to make a change in the world. For real.

- Big changes.

JOE BIDEN: You tell her what I said, remind her, when she's President--

- We're going to personally get ourselves [INAUDIBLE] to see him.

- Yeah, she's coming to see you, Mr. President.

- Thank you.

- Yeah.

- Yeah, I thought--

- All right. All right. Thank you, Mr. President. God bless you.

JOE BIDEN: Oh, God bless you all.
