Biden Outraises Trump In Laguna Beach

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Joe Biden's presidential campaign has thus far outraised President Donald Trump in Laguna Beach, according to a Los Angeles Times report.

Biden has earned $281,843 as of July 31 from supporters in Laguna Beach. Sara Lowell was Biden's top donor, at $8,400. Trump's top Laguna Beach donor as of the report was William J. Gillespie, with $70,000 donated toward the president's campaign.

In Orange County, Biden tended to outraise Trump in a blue stripe, from the city of Orange, Irvine, Laguna Woods, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Beach, as well as pockets in Ladera Ranch and Fullerton.

Trump did better From Seal Beach, Los Alamitos, Rossmoor, Across Anaheim, Silverado, Newport Beach, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, San Juan Capistrano and San Clemente.

In the whole of Orange County, Newport Beach has raised more money towards President Donald Trump's campaign than any other city.

The president raised $1,009,965 until July 31 in Newport Beach's 92660 zip code, and $630,482 in Newport Beach's 92663 zip code. Trump's mega donor in the area, according to the report, was Palmer Luckey, founder of Oculus, who wrote Trump a $400,000 check.

Until July 31, Trump's top donor was Caryn L. Borland who donated $222,867 to his reelection campaign. The city is among Trump's biggest sources of cash in California, according to the L.A. Times.

Biden's total Newport Beach funds raised were not released, but in neighboring Corona Del Mar, he out-earned Trump with a total of $474,463. Biden's biggest fan in Corona Del Mar is Anne G. Earhart, who donated $352,800.

In nearby Laguna Niguel, Joe Biden has outraised Trump, raking in $503,522 with Sarah Kiani his top donor at $360,600. Trump's top donor in Laguna Niguel is Eleanor Tarvis, at $7,860.

This year, Biden has still outraised Trump in California $105.5 million to $61.1 million, but Trump has held his own, outraising Biden in 1000 of the state's 1600 zip codes. He raised $22.1 million in Los Angeles County, and did particularly well in Beverly Hills, where he raised a total of $9,337,672.

Beverly Hills is in fact home to Trump's largest donor in the California, real estate developer Geoffrey Palmer, who donated $6,405,200. Other large Beverly Hills donors include real estate developer Robert Zarnegin, who donated $375,000; France and Monaco Ambassador and former Dodgers owner Jamie McCourt, who donated $360,000; Kohl's department store heiress Jana Kohl who donated $348,055; and Barbara Marcus, wife of real estate tycoon Joel Marcus who donated $250,000.

Biden's biggest donors in the southland include DreamWorks founder Jeffrey Katzenberg, who donated $720,600; Seth McFarlane, who donated $700,000; and Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz, who donated $620,600.
