Biden in Rehoboth Beach this weekend after high-stakes week responding to Israel crisis

Rehoboth Beach's favorite son, President Joe Biden, will be back in town Friday night.

He and wife Jill Biden will depart the Washington area around 7:30 p.m. and arrive at Dover Air Force Base around 8:15 p.m., according to the White House press office. They're scheduled to arrive in Rehoboth 20 minutes later, so presumably, they'll take the Marine One helicopter.

Marine One lands in the parking lot at Gordon's Pond, on the south end of Cape Henlopen State Park. Biden's arrival normally closes the area, but that shouldn't be an issue Friday since the park closes at sunset. His home is right around the corner in North Shores, a small community just north of Rehoboth Beach, "The Nation's Summer Capital."

The president has mainly kept to his home when in town, save for bike rides on the Gordon's Pond trail and attending St. Edmond's Roman Catholic Church. This summer, he ventured onto the beach several times, and once, he and Jill Biden went to dinner at Matt's Fish Camp in Lewes, followed by a movie at The Movies at Midway.

Biden has had a busy and high-pressure week, traveling to Israel to meet with victims of the Hamas terrorist attacks, addressing the nation from the Oval Office and asking Congress for over $100 billion to support Israel, Ukraine and other "key national security priorities."
