America is lost with the abrupt dismissal of Fox News’ biggest personality, comedian Roy Wood Jr. joked Saturday at the annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner.

“We gotta get Tucker (Carlson) back on the air, Mr. President, because right now there are millions of Americans who don’t even know why they hate you,” Roy Wood Jr. said.

Wood also talked about media scandal mongering.

“There’s been no scandal more damaging, than the scandal of ‘Is Joe Biden Awake?’” Wood cracked.

“Say what you want about our president, but when he wakes up from that nap, work gets done,” the comedian quipped.

“He might doze off, but then — it’s infrastructure bill! Free Brittney Griner! Student loan forgiveness!”

Earlier in the evening, President Joe Biden poked fun at Republican lawmakers including Gov. Ron DeSantis and Marjorie Taylor Greene.

“I want everybody to have fun tonight, but please be safe. If you find yourself disoriented or confused, it’s either you’re drunk — or Marjorie Taylor Greene,” he joked.

Fox News also took a barb from Biden as he surveyed the news organizations of journalists in the crowd.

“MSNBC is here, owned by NBCUniversal. Fox News is here, owned by Dominion Voting Systems,” Biden said, referring to the voting machine company that won a $787.5 million defamation settlement from News Corp over Fox News’ airing of election denial lies.

Among the celebrities attending the dinner was Chrissy Teigen, 37, who showed up after a week of battling a mysterious illness she obtained while on a Disney cruise with husband John Legend and their children.

“I don’t think I’ve ever felt so full-body sick,” she captioned a recent Instagram post. “This week kicked my ass but I am onnn the mend!!”

Teigen looked healthy as ever on Saturday, posing on the red carpet alongside Legend wearing a flowing lilac gown with a sparkling corset waistline.

Also catching peoples’ attention on the red carpet was Julia Fox, wearing a black gothic gown and striking white powder makeup that covered her entire face.

She posed with Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., in a picture that got lots of likes on Twitter.

Other celebrities at the event were SNL’s Ego Nwodim, actor Liev Schreiber, Oscar-winner Ke Huy Quan, Gayle King, and Kelly Ripa, who attended with husband Mark Consuelos.

The ceremony was held under the weight of Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich’s detainment in Russia.

Wood, a correspondent for The Daily Show, mentioned that his father was a prominent Black journalist. Roy Wood Sr. in the 1970s co-founded the National Black Network, a radio network, and led its news operation. The company was eventually folded into the American Urban Radio Network.

Wood talked about Gershkovich during his speech. “Evan and hundreds of journalists all over the world are imprisoned for just doing their jobs,” he said.

Biden also offered sincere sentiments during his speech, including a shoutout to basketball player Brittney Griner, who attended after spending the majority of 2022 in the Russian prison system for allegedly possessing a small amount of cannabis oil.

“It’s great to have you home,” Biden told her. “And boy, I can hardly wait to see you back on the court, kid.”
