LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — President Joe Biden is traveling to Las Vegas on Sunday in advance of the Feb. 6 presidential primary election, according to the White House.

That could add to an already jam-packed day at Reid International Airport as Super Bowl LVIII activities ramp up and fans arrive for a week of parties and pre-game events.

Biden will appear at a campaign event in the Historic Westside, according to a White House advisory. The precise location was not announced, but the event is scheduled to be at 3:30 p.m. Information about other activities involving the president hasn’t been released.

A poll released in early January showed Biden trailing former President Donald Trump in a possible head-to-head race. Biden is expected to dominate the primary in Nevada. The Republican primary has little meaning because Nevada will use the Feb. 8 caucus to award the state’s delegates. Trump isn’t even on the Nevada Republican primary ballot on Feb. 6.

Democratic candidate Marianne Williamson has campaign events scheduled on Saturday and Sunday in Las Vegas. On Sunday, she will be at the Las Vegas Center for Spiritual Living & Unity on N. Rancho Drive at 3 p.m. Her Saturday events include a 10 a.m. appearance at a community event at Nucleus Plaza, 1058 W. Owens Ave., and also an event at the West Charleston Library.
