Big 12 softball tournament schedule announced. OU is No. 1 seed, Oklahoma State is No. 2 seed

Big 12 softball pairings set

Pairings for the Big 12 Softball Tournament, set to run from Thursday through Saturday at USA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City, were announced Sunday. Top-ranked Oklahoma is the No. 1 seed, while No.7-ranked Oklahoma State is seeded second and will face Kansas at 3 p.m. T.

OU, by winning the conference's regular-season title over the weekend against OSU, will get a first-round bye. The Sooners will not play until 1 p.m. Friday against the winner of Thursday's Iowa State-Baylor game.

Game 1: No. 4 Iowa State vs. No. 5 Baylor, noon (ESPNU)

Game 2: No. 2 Oklahoma State vs. No. 7 Kansas, 3 p.m. (Big 12 Now on ESPN+)

OU takes down TCU in Big 12 baseball

Jackson Nicklaus, Jimmy Crooks and Wallace Clark each had two hits on Sunday, and Oklahoma beat TCU 5-1 in a Big 12 baseball series in Fort Worth, Texas. OU (29-17 overall, 11-7 Big 12) won two of the three games in the series.

OU had exceptional pitching, particularly reliever Trevin Michael. He shut out the Horned Frogs (28-18, 13-8) on no hits and five strikeouts over the last three innings.

On Saturday, OU beat the Horned Frogs 11-7. The Sooners had seven hits, 13 walks and had four batters hit by a pitch. Peyton Graham had two hits, three RBI and scored twice for the Sooners.

OSU sweeps Southeast Missouri State

Griffin Doersching hit two home runs, and Marcus Brown and Roc Riggio added others in Oklahoma State's 15-3 run-rule rout over Southeast Missouri State on Sunday at O'Brate Stadium in Stillwater.

OSU swept the three-game baseball series and improved to 34-13. Aside from Doersching and Brown going deep, starting pitcher Trevor Martin was stellar. He blanked Southeast Missouri State on one hit, two walks and six strikeouts in four innings. He improved to 3-2.

OSU had clinched the series on Saturday night with an 11-6 win. Brown had three hits, while Nolan McLean and Zach Ehrhard homered for the Cowboys.

Albuquerque ends OKC win streak

Albuquerque stopped the Oklahoma City Dodgers' win streak at three Sunday, getting an 11-5 Pacific Coast League baseball victory at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Oklahoma City (18-12) had an early 2-0 lead, but it was all Isotopes after that. Starting pitcher Ryan Feltner (4-0) gave up both runs on just four hits and a walk. He struck out five in five innings.

Elehuris Montero and Brian Serven had three hits each for Albuquerque (13-17). Montero had a home run and a double.

Late Saturday night, former Major League All-Star Jake Lamb had a grand slam, a double and five RBI to lead Oklahoma City to an 8-5 win over the Isotopes. Zach McKinstry added a game-high three hits and reached base in all five of his plate appearences.

Mavs beat Suns, even series at 2-2

Luka Doncic scored 26 points and the Dallas Mavericks took advantage of foul trouble for Chris Paul to beat the Phoenix Suns 111-101 on Sunday, evening the Western Conference semifinal series at 2-2.

Paul was out of Game 4 early in the fourth quarter, the period when he often dominated the Mavericks during an 11-game winning streak that ended with consecutive home victories for Dallas.

Dorian Finney-Smith scored a playoff career-high 24 points for Dallas.

Devin Booker scored 35 points for the Suns.

WARRIORS 142, GRIZZLIES 112: Stephen Curry scored 30 points, Klay Thompson had 21 and nine rebounds and the Golden State Warriors shut down Ja Morant’s supporting cast to embarrass the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night for a 2-1 lead in the Western Conference semifinals. Morant had 34 points.
