Which Big 12 team will travel the farthest this season?

The Big 12 now stretches from Florida to Utah with the addition of four new schools; UCF, BYU, Cincinnati and Houston.

With more teams comes more travel for away games. For TCU, though, its 2023 schedule doesn’t include cross-country flights. The Horned Frogs will travel 3,588 miles in the 2023 — with its farthest trip being 781 miles to Iowa State in Ames, Iowa. TCU will travel the second-least distance in the Big 12 next season, behind Kansas State (3,240), according to bookies.com.

TCU’s three nonconference games are at home, and it won’t have to travel to Morgantown, West Virginia, Provo, Utah, or Orlando, Florida, like other Big 12 schools will.

UCF will accumulate the most air miles with 14,914, with the Knights going to Boise, Idaho and twice to Kansas. BYU will make two trips to the Lone Star State to face TCU and Texas, and it will face Arkansas in a nonconference game. Those three trips will combine for almost 4,000 miles.
