The Big Bang Theory ’s Simon Helberg Buys Los Feliz Mansion for $6.8 Million

Just weeks after wrapping the final season of The Big Bang Theory, Simon Helberg is celebrating his long TV show run by buying a new house in Los Feliz. As one of the highest paid actors in television (he reportedly made $1 million per episode for season 12), the star who played Howard Wolowitz spared no expense when purchasing the 4,000-square-foot home for nearly $6.9 million.

The restored 1930s Spanish Colonial abode is enchanting from the moment one enters the carved-wood front door. The home has a two-level foyer which leads into a large, light-filled living room with a simple fireplace, vintage wrought-iron chandelier, and exposed dark wood beams. The dining room has similar decor accents, such as a modern glass and brass chandelier, and the eat-in kitchen boasts green Shaker-style cabinets and chef-worthy appliances.

Elsewhere in the home are five bedrooms, including a staff suite on the main floor and a master suite, which has a balcony overlooking the backyard and a bathroom with a green and white geometric tile. There’s also a two-car garage and poolside guesthouse on the half-acre property.

The Big Bang Theory alumni's new outside space is just as stunning as the inside. An outdoor dining area and kitchen (entered through the breakfast nook) offers a fireplace and a built-in grilling area. A large pool and spa are surrounded by a lush green yard which also features a stunning koi pond. The entire property, which was once owned by Vince Vaughn, is perched above a cul-de-sac and surrounded by trees, providing plenty of privacy.
