The Big Bang Theory star Kunal Nayyar’s drama Suspicion has been axed by Apple TV+ after just one season.
Based on the Israeli drama False Flag, Suspicion saw Nayyar play Aadesh Patel - a London man whose life as a carpet shop worker is turned upside down when a brief trip to New York City sees him accused of being involved in a kidnap plot.
In the show, 21-year-old Leo's abduction from an upmarket hotel in New York is captured on video and later goes viral. When four British citizens who are staying in the same hotel are accused of the abduction they must fight to clear their names.

Starring alongside Big Bang Theory's Nayyar, Suspicion boasted big names such as Uma Thurman, It's a Sin actress Lydia West, Game of Thrones' Elyes Gabel, Black Mirror star Georgina Campbell, Agents of SHIELD's Elizabeth Henstridge and Doctor Who star Mandeep Gill.
According to Deadline, the show, which was produced by the original drama's production company Keshet Productions, will not be receiving a second season.
Previously opening up to Digital Spy about the show, Nayyar said that he was instantly drawn to the project when director Chris Long brought it to him.

"When Chris Long, who directed and showran, brought this to me as a potential for me to be in this, I watched False Flag then and I instantly loved it," Nayyar said. "And I really, really have been a big fan of Chris Long because he did The Americans for FX, which I was a big fan of, so it all came to sort of fruition that way."
Speaking of his co-star, Doctor Who's Mandeep Gill, Nayyar said: "She's not only an incredible actor, she's also just an incredible person. And every time we had a scene together, when she was going to be on set, everyone got really excited because she just is the kind of person who lights up every room that she's in."
