Big Brother host AJ Odudu had a stunned reaction to the result of the most recent double eviction of the series.

The eviction, which took place on Friday (November 10), saw Chanelle Bowen and Trish Balusa exit the Big Brother house after a strained week between the two.

After revealing to the house that Trish had been evicted, AJ could be heard saying, "What?" in a disbelieving manner into her microphone, prompting one user to post the clip to X under the caption: "She really is one of us."

Trish was a heavy fan favourite to win the series – so much so that chants of "Trish will win" were heard among the live studio audience just moments before she was told to leave the house.

Discussing why she may have been evicted, Trish said: "I am a bit shocked, but there's a part of me that thought, you know, this is my third nomination.

"I kept saying if I was a viewer, and if I saw someone was nominated for the third time, even if I loved them, I'd started to think... this is the third time their mates are putting them up. Should I look at this a bit closely because it can't just be hating?"

Trish's last week in the Big Brother house was fraught with tension. Broadcasting regulator Ofcom received over 1,000 complaints about the way she and fellow housemate Noky Simbani were being treated by some of their other housemates.

On the outside, Trish's best friend revealed that she'd been in touch with Big Brother's welfare team to discuss how Trish was being cared for. "Spoken to the welfare team today regarding what Big Brother production team is doing to intervene with microaggressions and racism that we are all witnessing Trish experience," she wrote on X.

Host AJ also questioned the behaviour of some of the housemates. Alongside Big Brother: Late & Live panellist Yinka Bokinni, they raised the matter earlier this week, with AJ pointing out that Trish was called "aggressive" for standing up to Paul Blackburn.

"It is a shame… They do keep banging that drum, don't they? She said 'bully' one time, and how many times have they labelled her 'aggressive'?" AJ pointed out. "I rest my case."

Big Brother airs Sundays to Fridays at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX. Each episode is followed by Big Brother Late & Live at 10pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
