Summer is getting closer, and that means that food truck season is already here.

From Food Truck Fridays to food truck festivals, here are some of the food truck events to look forward to this summer.

Brookfield

Town Food Truck Festival

What: At the Town Food Truck Festival, customers can try offerings from a variety of trucks and may also enjoy live music, craft beer and kid-friendly activities.

When: 4:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, May 18, June 15, July 20, Aug. 17 and Sept. 21

Milwaukee

Grilled Cheese Food Truck Fest

What: The Grilled Cheese Food Truck Fest is set to feature six food trucks specializing in grilled cheese

Where: At the Tap Yard at Schlitz Park, 1555 N Rivercenter Drive

Take-Out Tuesdays

What: Take-Out Tuesdays, a truck and mobile vendor gathering, is returning to Schlitz Park every other Tuesday this spring and summer

When: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. every other Tuesday, May 10 until the end of summer. Check Facebook for scheduling updates and for the date of the last Take-Out Tuesday of the season.

Where: Schlitz Park, 1555 N. Rivercenter Drive, along Cherry Street between Rivercenter Drive and Second Street.

Riverwest Food Truck Rally

What: The fourth annual Riverwest Food Truck Rally is scheduled to have live music,  beer and about 20 food trucks

When: 4 to 8 p.m. July 16

South Milwaukee

Food Truck Sunday

What: At Food Truck Sunday, there will be food trucks, live music by acoustic guitarist Eric Larson and beer for sale. Proceeds from beverage sales help homeless and at-risk youth in the South Shore area.

Where: Mitchell Field, 1101 Milwaukee Ave.

Thiensville

Food Trucks in the Park

What:  There will be multiple food trucks, beverages, family activities and live music one Thursday a month during the summer

When: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. May 19, June 16, July 14 and Aug. 18

Where:  Thiensville Village Park, 251 Elm St.

Waukesha

Milwaukee Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival

What: Thirty food trucks are slated to be at the festival, with more than 50 national, regional and local craft beers available. There will also be lawn games, music and family-fun activities.

When: Noon to 5 p.m. June 11

Where: Waukesha County Expo Center, 1000 Northview Road

Ticket information: General admission tickets are $5 online in advance, $10 at the door and free for ages 12 and younger and first responders (police, fire and EMS workers). Parking is $5.

West Allis

Food Truck Fridays at the Farmers Market

What: On select Fridays, area food trucks will be available as well as local brews, live music and activities for kids.
