Jun. 6—Hawaii County detectives charged a 37-year-old Milolii man with multiple offenses in Captain Cook in Kona, including criminal property damage using a gun.

Brian Kahele was arrested 9 :30 a.m. Wednesday.

On May 31, patrol officers responded to the report of an unknown person damaging two tires of a vehicle. Then later that same day, there were reports of gunshots and the same victim's vehicle had been shot with a firearm on Old Government Road.

After conferring with prosecutors, Kahele was charged Thursday with two counts of first-degree criminal property damage, one count each of first-and second-degree terroristic threatening and first-degree reckless endangering.
