A handful of high-profile comedians — including an upcoming Saturday Night Live host — are coming to Lexington.

Recent announcements of upcoming shows include two concerts and five comedy shows coming to Rupp Arena and the Lexington Opera House in 2024.

Here are the details for each show, and how to get tickets.

CONCERTS

Cody Johnson, a platinum recording artist and Country Music Association Awards male Vocalist of the Year nominee, will perform at Rupp Arena April 12. The concert will also feature performances from Justin Moore and Drake Milligan.

Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. November 3. There is a pre-sale ticket window for the Johnson, Moore and Milligan online fan clubs opening three days beforehand at 10 a.m. More information can be found on Rupp Arena’s website.

Johnson recently added 15 new shows to “The Leather Tour,” which includes the Rupp Arena concert. The tour is named after Johnson’s new album titled “Leather,” which will be released the same day ticket sales open to the general public.

The 12-song album features appearances from Brooks & Dunn and Jelly Roll. Johnson told Billboard authenticity is a common thread in the new music.

On Aug. 1, Blink-182 will take the stage at Rupp Arena. Tickets for the general public go on sale at 10 a.m. October 27. A pre-sale will be available the day prior at 10 a.m. using the code “ROCKSHOW.” More information is available on Rupp Arena’s website.

Blink-182 is a multi-platinum, award-winning rock band made up of Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker. The show is a part of the “One More Time” tour, the name of the trio’s latest album.

Pierce the Veil will also perform at the show.

COMEDY SHOWS

Five comedians are bringing their tours to Lexington stages in 2024.

Tom Papa, a comedian with more than 20 years of experience, will take the Lexington Opera House stage January 14. Tickets for the show will go on sale 10 a.m. October 27. A pre-sale will open the day prior at 10 a.m. using the code “LEXOH.” Details are available on the Lexington Opera House website.

Papa has been featured on Netflix and is the author of two books. His second book, which was released in May, is about how people live in modern America and highlights the “good and wonderful” parts about life.

The Lexington Opera House will host another comedy show on March 30 featuring Ari Shaffir. Tickets for the show go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. October 27, but a pre-sale will take place the day before at 10 a.m. using the code “COMEDY.” Find out more on the Lexington Opera House website.

The show is part of Shaffir’s “The Wrong Side of History” tour. The opera house described it as a dirty show with some offensive parts.

He has a Netflix special titled “Double Negative” and is most known for his latest special “Jew,” which has over six million views on YouTube and made the New York Times’ list of best specials of the year.

On April 6, Ryan Hamilton will take the stage at the Lexington Opera House for a comedy show. Tickets for the show go on sale to the general public at 11 a.m. October 27, and a pre-sale will open the day before at 10 a.m. before using the code “COMEDY.”

Hamilton recently released his first special on Netflix titled “Happy Face.” Rolling Stone named him as one of the five comics to watch, and the opera house said his special has been reviewed as “the special you can’t watch enough times.”

Rupp Arena will host a comedy show featuring Nate Bargatze, who’s set to host SNL this week, on May 10. Tickets go on sale to the general public 10 a.m. October 27 and a pre-sale will be available one day prior at 10 a.m. using the code “GREATEST.” More ticket information is available on his website.

Bargatze is Grammy-nominated stand-up comedian and the nicest man in stand-up comedy, according to The Atlantic. He is known for his clean and all-ages appropriate comedy specials on Netflix and Amazon Prime.

Bargatze has made 13 appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and four appearances on Conan, according to Rupp Arena. His “The Be Funny” tour will be all new content.
