Big names in classic rock, country to play at Fruit Yard in Modesto. See who, when

Classic rock and country music make up the shows set for the season at Modesto’s Fruit Yard Amphitheater.

There are five shows upcoming at the rural venue. Tickets are on sale.

Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys also has performances announced for its amphitheater.

Adjacent to orchards and a longtime restaurant west of Waterford, the Fruit Yard Amphitheater — officially called The Fruit Yard Basi Insurance Nationwide Amphitheater — has lawn seating and reserved seating to accommodate about 3,500 people.

It opened in 2018 with a single show by Amy Grant. Its first full season was in 2019, but it was shut down in 2020 by the pandemic. Concerts returned to The Fruit Yard in 2021.

Only limited tickets remained for some of this year’s shows at press time and one performance already sold out. Here’s what’s to come this spring and summer:

May 20: REO Speedwagon with guest Sir, Please, 7 p.m. $55-$125.

June 22: Koe Wetzel with Dylan Wheeler and Austin Snell, 6:30 p.m. $75-$100.

July 20: Train with Better Than Ezra, 7:30 p.m. $55-$175.

July 23: Parker McCollum with Chris Colston. Sold out.

Aug. 19: Air Supply with Little River Band, 7 p.m. $58-$140.

The Ironstone Amphitheatre in the Mother Lode town of Murphys also has shows lined up:

July 13: Slightly Stoopid with Sublime with Rome Atmosphere, 5 p.m. $70-$120.

July 22: Hank Williams Jr. with Moonshine Bandits. Sold out.

Aug. 5: Midland & Chris Isaak with Cam, 6:30 p.m. $55-$275.

Sept. 16: I want my 80s Tour – Rick Springfield, the Hooters, John Waite, Tommy Tutone, 6:30 p.m. Tickets for this show go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, May 5, $57-$275
