These big names are performing in eastern Washington in 2024. Here’s what you need to know

If you’ve spent a significant amount of time in eastern Washington, you may have noticed a lack of big name entertainers in the area. It is all-too-common an occurrence to check the tour dates for your favorite artist, then realize that the location closest to you is Seattle, Portland or even farther.

While there are many local and regional artists to enjoy right here in eastern Washington, it’s common to crave the feeling that comes from seeing an international star in a giant venue.

Several big name artists have shows scheduled in eastern Washington during 2024. Before attending shows at any venue, check out their bag policy and other important venue information online.

Here’s what you need to know.

Big names performing in eastern WA

Tri-Cities

In Tri-Cities, big names tend to book shows at the Toyota Center. More performances will be announced throughout the year, but there are several already scheduled, from kids entertainment to classic rock to genres in Spanish. All but one of the following Tri-Cities concerts is at the venue, home to the Tri-City Americans.

If your kids or grandkids are huge fans of the kids show Paw Patrol, they’ll love the live show, “Heroes Unite,” coming to the Toyota Center for three shows between March 29 and 30. The touring show includes the PAW Patrol members to catch Mayor Humdinger, who has taken Robo Dog and created clones. Watch as the team corrects the chaos right on stage.

Tickets range from $20 to $115. Children under age 1 are free.

Grammy award-winning singer Alicia Villarreal is stopping in Kennewick on her “Donde Todo Comenzó” tour, translating to “Where It All Began,” through Live Nation Entertainment. She’ll perform a mix of her biggest classics and recent hits on May 11. The singer began her career with Grupo Límite, which became a globally-known grupero band.

Tickets range from $23 to $107.

Do the kids in your family prefer Sesame Street? See Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby and other favorite characters live in “Say Hello,” a singing and dancing celebration on May 28.

Tickets are General Admission only, at $50 a piece.

A nu-cumbia rock band that grew popular in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s, Caifanes solidified itself as an important element in the Rock en Español genre. They’re touring with Café Tacvba, a Grammy winning indie band from Mexico City, taking the stage at the Toyota Center May 29.

Tickets range from $77 to $117.

Outside of the Toyota Center, the full-size music festival that hit Tri-Cities for the first time last summer with legendary rapper Afroman is set to return June 7-9. While there are over 100 acts scheduled to perform at Tri Town Get Down this year, the three headliners are the biggest names, Paul Russell, Kyle and Hobo Johnson and the Lovemakers.

Intocable is a Tejano/norteño band created in the early ‘90s that has released music consistently since then. The band has won multiple Grammys and been nominated for other awards, as well as broken boundaries within the Norteño genre. This tour celebrates the band’s 30-year anniversary at the Toyota Center on June 13.

A pioneer in Latin pop, Gloria Trevi introduced shock-pop and thought-provoking lyrics to the genre’s mainstream. Her trademark attitude and performance style have earned her the nicknames “the supreme diva of Mexican pop” and “the Madonna of Mexico.” She has sold millions of albums throughout her career and eventually broke into acting as well. Trevi’s latest tour arrives at the Toyota Center on Sept. 21.

Tickets range from $27 to $207.

Classic rock legends Foreigner will perform at the Toyota Center on their Farewell Tour Oct. 16. The band boasts 10 multi-platinum albums and over 80 million total album sales. While Foreigner first charted back in the ‘80s, the band has remained on Top 200 lists fairly consistently over time, largely due to their well-known hits. Carrying through the age of streaming, Foreigner accumulates around 15 million streams each week.

Tickets range from $43 to $173.

Celebrating over five decades together, the norteño band Los Tigres del Norte stops in Kennewick Nov. 13. The band is made up of a group of brothers and cousins who formed the Los Tigres del Norte in the late ‘60s. They sang of their immigration to the U.S., working-class realities and current events, on top of themes of love and loss. Their performances are a hot commodity, and the band has broken attendance records previously set by major U.S. stars like Cardi B.

The Gorge

Not a fan of crowded indoor venues? Worry not, the Gorge Amphitheatre offers a spacious, beautiful outdoor venue next to camping areas for those making a trip out of it. Their lineup for 2024 is full of large artists, including its annual Watershed and Bass Canyon music festivals with many of the biggest names in country music and EDM, respectively, and the annual Labor Dave celebration, featuring a long Labor Day weekend full of the Dave Matthews Band.

A popular option for entertainment, these tickets generally sell quickly, so get yours while you still can. Resale tickets are intermittently available for shows that have already sold out, including those for Noah Kahan and Hozier.

The iconic rock band, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, is taking the stage at The Gorge on May 31 for their Unlimited Love Tour, with openers Ken Carson and IRONTOM. With a mixture of their timeless classics from earlier albums and new tracks from their latest album, there will be something for all fans at the show.

Tickets range from $158 to $690.

The electronic music duo from Bellingham is performing at the Gorge July 4-6, with tickets still available for 7:30 p.m. shows each night. The performance set for midnight July 4 is sold out, as are the three-day passes. One dollar from each ticket goes toward the non-profit PLUS1 in order to work toward “equity, access, and dignity for all,” and an additional dollar from each ticket will go toward REVERB’s climate portfolio in order to reduce the tour’s environmental footprint.

New country/folk singer-songwriter Tyler Childers heads to the Gorge Aug. 23 while on his Mule Pull tour. With a sound that shifts in each song, and subject matter varying from religion to the working class to true love, Childers’ expansive abilities are demonstrated in his repertoire. Working in sync with his band, the Food Stamps, the singer’s distinct vocals deliver a classic country sound with modern details.

Tickets are going quickly, with the only options remaining ranging from $221 to $450.

Boasting eight Top 10 albums, the massively popular alternative rock band Blink-182 is on tour after the release of a new album in Oct. 2023. Band members have been switched out a handful of times over the years, but this tour again features the core trio at the band’s heart, Tom DeLonge, Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus. Fans can expect a mix of songs from across their repertoire at the July 14 show, along with support from emo icons Pierce the Veil.

Tickets range from $104 to $506.

Spokane

If you’re willing to travel a little further, head to the largest metropolitan area in eastern Washington, Spokane. The Spokane Arena often has large names book tour dates, with multiple on the list so far.

Stopping in Spokane on the second leg of his “Back to the Honky Tonk” tour, country star Blake Shelton will be in eastern Washington March 14. The show’s openers are Dustin Lynch and Emily Ann Roberts. The throwback tour is said to evoke the energy of a country bar, bringing back all the hits.

Tickets range from $51 to $351.

Considered a genre-defying artist, Jelly Roll routinely blends multiple styles together in his music, including country, hip-hop and rock. He has released dozens of independent albums, but only began to see mainstream success in recent years. He received two nominations at the 2024 Grammy Awards. The “Beautifully Broken” tour stops in Spokane Aug. 30.

Tickets range from $39.50 to $159.50 and are currently in the pre-sale stage, with general sales beginning March 1.

Rock icons Def Leppard are returning to Spokane for the first time in seven years, bringing their trademark British heavy metal sound with them. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers have sold more than 100 million albums and gone on multiple massively successful world tours. Def Leppard is touring with Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening, featuring the son of the band’s original drummer, John Bonham, stopping Spokane Sept. 6.
