Big Ten announces 2023-24 conference matchups for Indiana basketball

The opponents for the Indiana men's basketball team became a little clearer after the Big Ten released its conference schedule on Tuesday.

IU is coming off a 23-12 season with a final ranking of No. 24 in the Coaches Poll and a second-place finish in the league. In non-conference play, Indiana will play either UConn, the defending national champion, Texas or Louisville in the 2023 Empire Classic at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 19-20.

The Hoosiers will also conclude a two-game series against Kansas on Dec. 16 in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.

This season will mark the sixth year the Big Ten will play a 20-game conference schedule. Each team will play seven opponents twice, three opponents at home and three opponents on the road. Dates, times and television designations will be announced later this summer, according to a release.

Indiana basketball's 2023-24 Big Ten schedule

IU will play home and away games against Purdue, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin.

For home-only games, Indiana will take on Iowa, Michigan State and Northwestern.

The Hoosiers will play Illinois, Michigan and Rutgers as away-only games.
