Will new Big Ten TV deal stop 'GameDay' from coming to OSU? 'Hell no' says Rece Davis

ESPN's Rece Davis had some strong words for Ohio State's "College GameDay" crowd before the show began Saturday.

As Davis took to the set, he told the crowd standing outside St. John Arena behind Ohio Stadium that the Big Ten's new media deal will not keep "College GameDay from coming to Columbus.

Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren said it was critical to have multiple media partners in the new deal to maximize on the opportunity to each time window with the 12 p.m. slot with FOX, the 3:30 p.m. slot with CBS and the prime-time slot with NBC.

But Warren said the Big Ten Conference will continue to have the year to work on getting a deal made with ESPN, calling them a "valued partner" and saying he will "continually stay very close" with them.

The Big Ten announced its new media deal Aug. 18 with CBS, FOX, NBC and NBCUniversal's Peacock through the 2029-30 academic year.
