Jul. 18—Chehalis will be hosting a free Music in the Park event on Friday, July 22.

The country music-themed event will be the first of three Music in the Park events that will be held over the course of three consecutive Fridays.

The event will be held at Recreation Park in Chehalis and will feature country music singers Michelle Wright and Ty Herndon.

Both have sold millions of albums and have won multiple awards. The show on Friday night will be an acoustic performance for both performers.

Wright is most known for her songs "Take it like a Man," "He would be 16" and "New Kind of Love." Herndon has three No. 1 hits including "What Mattered Most, "Living in a Moment" and "It Must Be Love," plus 17 other charted songs.

Wright is in the Canadian Hall of Fame and Herndon is Grammy-nominated and has won the Dove Award. He has two albums certified gold.

Both performers will be available for autographs and pictures after the show. There will be merchandise for sale on site.

Attendees may bring their own food and drinks but no alcohol will be allowed. Food vendors will be on site. Music starts at 6:30 p.m.

The July 29 concert will feature performances by Kalimba and The Spirit of Earth, Wind and Fire. On Aug. 5, Marv Broussard will perform.
