BLACKSBURG, Va. (WFXR) — This is a big weekend when it comes to the Virginia Tech women’s basketball team. It is the final home game of the regular season this Sunday for the Hokies as they face North Carolina. They will honor all of the seniors, but it is a sold out game. Something else on top of that you have ESPN’s College Game Day as they’ll be at Cassell. It is the first time they will be here not only for a home Virginia Tech women’s basketball and also for a home ACC program.

“Having College Game Day come is really exciting. Obviously just another testament to what we’ve been able to do here at Virginia Tech with this program. It’s really exciting have a lot of eyes on women’s basketball in general and the Cassell support to be here and it’s gonna be really really fun to see Hokie nation rally around us and give us all that energy that helps so much. But you know obviously having College Game Day there is gonna be a lot going on and we gotta win the game at the end of the day. So that’s the goal but it’s gonna be really really exciting to see everyone else have fun.,” said Virginia Tech graduate center Elizabeth Kitley.
