Big Woods restaurant and Hard Truth bar coming to Indianapolis in 2022
The owner of the Big Woods restaurant is going all-in at The Fashion Mall at Keystone in Indianapolis, opening two concepts there next year.
Big Woods Restaurant Group will open a Big Woods restaurant next to the new Shake Shack in spring 2022, the company announced Wednesday. It also will open a Hard Truth bar at the center kiosk in the Fashion Café.
The projects at the Simon Property Group mall, 8702 Keystone Crossing, account for the company’s 10th restaurant and the second bar to open in the state.
“This is a perfect pairing of Big Woods and Simons as we join together to provide a memorable experience and grow our fan base,“ co-founder and Executive Chairman Jeff McCabe said in a news release. “As an Indiana-based business, this is an opportunity to offer our great tasting craft food, beer and spirits to the Fashion Mall’s shoppers.”

Big Woods opened its first location in 2009 in Nashville, Ind., and quickly drew locals, tourists, and craft beer lovers, leading to expansion. Its pork nachos are lauded.
Quaff ON! beer and Hard Truth spirits will be featured at both locations, including Big Woods restaurants in Nashville, Bloomington, Speedway, Franklin, Noblesville, Edinburgh and West Lafayette; The Restaurant at Hard Truth in Nashville; and the Hard Truth cocktail bar at The Garage Food Hall in Indianapolis.
