KOAS Entertainment will hold the second installment of "Fight Night Live" at the Knight Club in Marysville on Saturday. A portion of ticket sales will go to Blankets With Care, a local non-profit organization.

After bringing professional boxing to the Blue Water Area last year, KAOS Entertainment is ready to do it again.

"Fight Night Live" returns to the Knight Club in Marysville this Saturday. Seven fights are scheduled between professional boxers, including local fighters Dajuan Robinson and Zach Howe. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the first match starting at 7.

The event will be held in conjunction with Blankets With Care, a 501(c)(3) organization based in Chesterfield that provides blankets, clothes, food and other necessities to the homeless in Macomb and St. Clair County. A portion of ticket sales will go directly to the charity.

"Working with Blankets With Care is a big part of it," said Terrell Kelly, president of KAOS Entertainment. "(Especially) with them helping out the homeless and veterans in the community. Because I was once in those shoes before. So, it's (important) to me to try and boost the awareness of that non-profit. I'm hoping we can accomplish something a little bit bigger than boxing."

Initially, Kelly wasn't sure which organization he wanted to partner with, but Blankets With Care caught his attention.

"They stood out due to the fact that they're smaller than a lot of the major (charities)," Kelly said. "They don't have much funding to spread out their mission and cause. They've got the 501c (certification) and the foundation already. So why not help them grow, if I can, and help them raise money?"

In addition to boxing, live music will be performed by local artists throughout the night. Detroit boxing legend Thomas Hearns will also be in attendance. Fans will have a chance to meet and take pictures with the "Hitman." A member of Hearns' family is scheduled in one of the matches.

The one difference from the first event is that alcohol will be sold Saturday.

"It's still a kid-friendly event," Kelly said. "It was a dry event last time. So, I figured we'd add that to make it a better experience for people for who'd like to have a drink."

General admission tickets start at $35 per person and can be purchased on Eventbrite.com. Ringside seats, which include a food and alcohol voucher, are available for $100. A VIP table package is $800 and comes with eight seats, each of which receives one food and alcohol voucher.

"Fight Night Live" will be sponsored by Vape & Smokeshop, a tobacco store located on 24th Street in Port Huron.

Kelly is accepting additional sponsors through Friday. Business that are interested can reach him at (810) 689-6343 or at kaos@kaosentertainment.org.
