Biggest concerts, comedians coming to Sarasota, Tampa Bay from January to March

We've only just entered 2023, yet there's already a full lineup of concerts, comedy shows and music festivals set to visit the Tampa Bay area over the next three months.
It starts Jan. 13 with two of the top names in stand-up, Jerry Seinfeld and Katt Williams, performing respectively in Sarasota and Tampa, with other notable comedians including a Tampa Bay native playing a headlining homecoming show at Amalie Arena. That same venue will host arguably the biggest concert of the next three months when Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band play there February, while March will bring some of the largest annual music festivals of the year to the area.
Here are the biggest concerts and comedy shows set to visit the Tampa Bay area now through March, listed in chronological order. Event details are subject to change.

Jerry Seinfeld
Jan. 13; Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, Sarasota; vanwezel.org
The stand-up comic and star of the sitcom "Seinfeld," regularly considered one of the greatest TV series of all time, returns to Van Wezel for two sold-out shows, initially scheduled for September before being rescheduled due to Hurricane Ian.
Katt Williams
Jan. 13; Yuengling Center, Tampa; yuenglingcenter.com
The stand-up comedian visits Tampa following the release of his newest Netflix special, last year's "World War III," the follow-up to his 2018 special "Great America" that was filmed at Jacksonville's Florida Theatre and discusses the city at length.
Barry Manilow

The Grammy, Emmy and Tony-winning singer celebrates 50 years as a recording artist with his Hits 2023 Tour, where audiences can expect to hear songs such as "Mandy," "I Write the Songs," "Looks Like We Made It" (all No. 1 hits), "Can't Smile Without You" and "Copacabana (At the Copa)."
Larry the Cable Guy

The Blue Collar Comedy Tour star, who credits Les McCurdy of McCurdy's Comedy Theatre in Sarasota with the idea of performing stand-up as the persona, is also known for his "Cars" voice role Mater, which he recently reprised for the Disney+ series "Cars on the Road."
Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit
Jan. 20; Ruth Eckerd Hall
The former Drive-By Truckers member turned solo artist who's won four Grammys in the Best Americana Album and American Roots Song categories (and is set to make his film debut in Martin Scorsese's upcoming "Killers of the Flower Moon") performs with his band the 400 Unit.
Kathleen Madigan
Jan. 20; Mahaffey Theater, St. Petersburg; themahaffey.com
The stand-up comedian whose most recent special, 2016's "Bothering Jesus," includes her talking about her parents' time in Sarasota and The Villages, will return to Florida on her Boxed Wine & Tiny Banjos Tour.
Tedeschi Trucks Band
Jan. 21 and 25; Ruth Eckerd Hall
The Jacksonville-based blues-rock group fronted by Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks, who won a Best Blues Album Grammy with their 2011 debut "Revelator" and most recently released last year's four-album project "I Am the Moon," visits Ruth Eckerd Hall for two shows.
Jeff Dunham
Jan. 27; Amalie Arena
The stand-up comedian and ventriloquist, who recently released his latest special "Me the People" on Comedy Central last year, will visit Tampa while on his Still Not Canceled Tour.
Russell Peters

The internationally touring stand-up comedian, who'll also appear in Mindy Kaling's upcoming "Scooby-Doo" spinoff adult animated series "Velma" as the voice of Velma's dad, performs two Tampa shows on his Act Your Age World Tour.
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band
Feb. 1; Amalie Arena
The Boss tours with his famed backing band, which includes guitarist Steven Van Zandt and drummer Max Weinberg, following the release of their 2020 album "Letter to You" as well as Springsteen's 2022 solo covers collection "Only the Strong Survive."
Nikki Glaser
Feb. 3; Tampa Theatre, Tampa; tampatheatre.org
The stand-up comedian who released her latest special "Good Clean Filth" last year on HBO, also hosting the HBO Max dating reality series "FBoy Island" until its recent cancellation, visits the historic Tampa Theatre. (She's also set to play Van Wezel in June.)
Carrie Underwood

The multi-Grammy-winning country star tours around the release of her latest album, 2022's "Denim & Rhinestones," joined by another big name in the genre in Jimmie Allen, who released his own new full-length "Tulip Drive" last year.
Patti LaBelle
Feb. 5; Mahaffey Theater
The frontwoman for LaBelle of No. 1 hit "Lady Marmalade" fame turned Grammy-winning solo performer, Patti LaBelle has found a new generation of fans with her appearances on TV shows including "The Masked Singer" and "American Horror Story."
Kevin James
Feb. 8; Hard Rock Event Center
Along with starring in shows such as "The King of Queens" and "Kevin Can Wait" and films such as the "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" movies and "Home Team," Kevin James performs stand-up comedy (releasing his first special in 17 years in 2018), which is what brings him to Tampa.
Jim Gaffigan
Feb. 9-11; Straz Center, Tampa; strazcenter.org
The stand-up comedian who's earned several Best Comedy Album Grammy nominations, including for his 2021 Netflix special "Comedy Monster" this year, performs three nights of shows at the Straz Center that'll be filmed and recorded for his next special, according to the venue.
Roger Daltrey
Feb. 11; Ruth Eckerd Hall
The lead vocalist and co-founder of rock legends The Who, named the 61st greatest singer of all time by Rolling Stone, Roger Daltrey will visit Ruth Eckerd Hall for a solo show not long after The Who headlined Amalie Arena.
John Mellencamp
Feb. 13-15; Ruth Eckerd Hall
The Grammy-winning, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame-inducted rocker plays three nights of shows at Ruth Eckerd Hall after releasing last year's album "Strictly a One-Eyed Jack," featuring multiple appearances by Bruce Springsteen, with the duo also performing a Jerry Lee Lewis tribute together at last year's Hall of Fame ceremony.
Rod Stewart

The two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, both for his time in the group Faces and his solo career with massive hits such as "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy," plays the relatively intimate (for him, anyhow) Hard Rock Event Center after headlining Amalie Arena last year.

The Tampa-raised comedian and podcast host, who also stars as a fictionalized version of himself in the upcoming film "The Machine," will play his biggest hometown show yet when he headlines Amalie Arena on his Tops Off World Tour.

Both inducted into the Rock & Rock Hall of Fame and named one of the 100 greatest artists of all time by Rolling Stone, the two Motown groups that still feature original members (Otis Williams in The Temptations and Abdul "Duke" Fakir in the Four Tops) perform together.

The soul singer's many accolades include seven Grammys (both as a solo artist and performing with the Pips), induction into the Rock & Roll and Grammy halls of fame, being named the 51st greatest singer of all time by Rolling Stone, and receiving Kennedy Center Honors last year.

The country singer-songwriter, who's won more than a dozen Grammys including the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018 and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame a decade prior, makes her Ruth Eckerd Hall debut, according to the venue.
The Judds
Feb. 24; Amalie Arena
Wynonna Judd pays tribute to her late mother Naomi Judd, who played together as the renowned country duo The Judds, with this final tour featuring Wynonna joined by special guests such as country star Martina McBride and Grammy-winning Americana musician Brandi Carlile.

Feb. 26; Ruth Eckerd Hall; Feb. 28; Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall
The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter known for hits such as "Building a Mystery" and "Angel," as well as for founding the music festival Lilith Fair, visits Clearwater and Sarasota performing "an intimate evening of songs and storytelling" with cellist Vanessa Freebairn-Smith.

The four-time Grammy-winning country singer-songwriter and actor will visit Clearwater's Capitol Theatre for two nights of shows with his Acoustic Group following the release of his latest album, last year's "12th of June."

The annual festival's musical headliners include some of the biggest names in classic and contemporary country such as Willie Nelson, Tanya Tucker and Chris Young, as well as acts outside the genre including rapper Ludacris, soul greats The Isley Brothers, pop-rock group Train and Southern rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd.

The country star and coach on the NBC singing competition series "The Voice" visits Tampa while on his Back to the Honky Tonk Tour, joined by Carly Pearce (up for a Grammy this year for her song "Never Wanted to Be That Girl" with Ashley McBryde) and Jackson Dean.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame-inducted power-pop group known for songs such as "I Want You to Want Me" and "Surrender," whose frontman Robin Zander is a longtime Pinellas County resident, headlines Hard Rock Event Center after opening for Rod Stewart at Amalie Arena last year.

Known as the King of the Movie Soundtrack for songs such as "I'm Alright" from "Caddyshack," the title track from "Footloose," and "Danger Zone" from "Top Gun" (which also prominently appeared in the recent hit sequel "Top Gun: Maverick"), Kenny Loggins serves as this year's Van Wezel Foundation Inspiration Gala headliner.

The comedian and actress plays two shows at Hard Rock Event Center after recently releasing her latest stand-up special "Hot Forever" on Netflix, also starring in the romantic comedy "Good on Paper" and "The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show" on the streaming service.
Reggae Rise Up Music Festival

The four-day festival returns to Vinoy Park with stars of its namesake genre such as 311, Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley, Sublime with Rome, Rebelution, Koffee, and the Dirty Heads headlining, as well as rapper Wiz Khalifa of "See You Again" and "Young, Wild & Free" fame.
Innings Festival
March 18-19; Raymond James Stadium, Tampa; inningsfestival.com/florida
The two-day festival returns to Raymond James Stadium with some of the biggest names in rock of the past few decades such as Imagine Dragons, Dave Matthews Band and Weezer; rapper/pop star and onetime Florida tourism ambassador Pitbull; acclaimed indie rock acts Japanese Breakfast and Faye Webster; and a bevy of baseball players.
Steve Miller Band
March 23; Ruth Eckerd Hall
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame-inducted Steve Miller and his band, known for No. 1 and 2 hits in the '70s and '80s such as "The Joker," "Abracadabra," "Rock'n Me" and "Fly Like an Eagle," returns to Ruth Eckerd Hall.
Michael Bolton
March 23; Hard Rock Event Center; March 26; Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall
Known for his Grammy-winning, No. 1 renditions of "When a Man Loves a Woman" and "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You," the singer has also showed a sense of humor, collaborating with The Lonely Island on the 2017 Netflix comedy special "Michael Bolton's Big, Sexy Valentine's Day Special."
The Eagles

The rock group will return to Amalie Arena on their tour performing their 1976 full-length "Hotel California," one of the best-selling and highest-regarded albums of all time, from start to finish accompanied by an orchestra and choir, followed by a set of greatest hits.
Jay Leno
March 28; Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall
The stand-up comedian and longtime "The Tonight Show" host, who held his first post-"Tonight Show" appearance the following night at Van Wezel in 2014, will return to the venue while also continuing to recover from his recent burn injury.
