Biker killed in crash with SUV near Fort Gregg-Adams

Prince George Police say a motorcyclist was killed Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, when he reportedly ran a red light and hit an SUV on Oaklawn Boulevard in front of Fort Gregg-Adams.

PRINCE GEORGE − A Dinwiddie County man was killed Thursday afternoon when his motorcycle collided with a sports-utility vehicle in front of Fort Gregg-Adams.

The incident happened shortly after 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Oaklawn and Sisisky boulevards, Prince George Police Officer Alexis Grochmal said. According to reports, the driver of a 2021 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle ran intoa 1988 Ford Explorer. The biker, 45-year-old Terry Bell Jr., was rushed to the Prince George Emergency Center where he later died of his injuries.

The occupants of the Explorer were treated at the scene for monir injuries.

A preliminary investigation indicated that Bell apparently ran a stop light and struck the SUV. Grochmal also said speed could have been a factor.
