Biketoberfest is back with no pandemic restrictions

Biketoberfest is back in Daytona Beach this year with no pandemic restrictions starting today.

“It’s a gathering of riders who rally together to soak up the October sun, listen to live music, enjoy good company and explore all that this destination has to offer,” said Lori Campbell Baker, Daytona Beach Area CVB executive director.

The 29th anniversary is anticipated to have 125,000 visitors this year, Daytona Beach said on its website.

Biketoberfest will include a four-day rally of live music and motorcycle racing at Daytona International Speedway, according to Daytona Beach’s website. There will also be planned scenic rides along A1A, historic Main Street and the “The Loop,” a 23-mile cruise through the Old Florida landscape along the Ormond Beach Scenic Loop and Trail.

The Biketoberfest Welcome Center will be located at ONE DAYTONA, in the parking lot of Bass Pro Shops, where visitors can receive event information and 2021 collectible pins for those who signed up for their pin pass, along with free posters and helmet stickers.

The event is the first restriction-free bike since the pandemic started, but organizers will work to give visitors enough room for social distancing. The Daytona Beach Police issued a reminder that Main Street will be a “motorcycles only” zone for the remainder of the event, unless other vehicles have special permission. Additionally, DBPD will limit curbside parking to allow for more physical distancing on the sidewalks.

DBPD also encouraged those entering or leaving the event via the beachside to use the bridges at International Speedway or Seabreeze/Oakridge boulevards.
