New bilingual PA joins Dallas County Hospital Family Medicine Clinics

Dallas County Hospital is introducing its patients and communities to Lauren Swan, PA, whose first day at DCH Clinics was earlier this week.

Swan is bilingual in Spanish. She graduated from Des Moines University with her master's degree in physician assistant studies and bachelor's degree in Spanish. She studied abroad in Spain.

Swan will practice on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays in the Perry Clinic and serve as an available provider during Sick Kid's Clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

She comes to DCH with four years of healthcare experience, having acted as a CNA and personal trainer. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Iowa Physician Assistant Society.

Her specialization is family medicine, and she has completed additional rotations in pediatrics, neurology, surgery, obstetrics, and internal medicine, behavioral health and emergency medicine.

Appointments with Swan can be scheduled through the Perry Clinic at 515.465.3553.

"Lauren has been anxious to join the DCH team and help further our mission and vision," a news release said. "Please join us in welcoming Lauren to the organization and the town of Perry!"
