Oct. 25—The following shows have been announced for Santander Arena and the Santander Performing Arts Center in Reading:

—"That Golden Girls Show," a new parody of classic "Golden Girls" moments, using puppets, is coming to the Santander Performing Arts Center on Nov. 17. Devoted fans will fondly remember the four girls from the NBC sitcom that ran from 1985 to 1992. And for the first-timers, this will be a joyful introduction to the brilliance of that series. The cast includes Erin Ulman as Blanche, Ashely Brooke as Sophia, Luke Dombroski as Dorothy and Colleen Welsh as Rose.

—Comedienne Taylor Tomlinson's Deal With It Tour will stop at the Santander Performing Arts Center on Feb. 11. Selected for the Forbes 30 Under 30 class of entrepreneurs, leaders and stars, Tomlinson shares her witty perspective on navigating adulthood. Her hour-long Netflix special, "Quarter-Life Crisis," came out in March 2020.

—Comedian Bill Burr brings his (Slight Return) Tour to Santander Arena on April 1. Burr first gained notoriety for his recurring role on the second season of "Chappelle's Show." His comedic style of uninformed logic has made him a regular with late-night talk show hosts Conan O'Brien, Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel. He is the voice of the lead character in the Netflix animated series "F Is for Family."

—The four-time Grammy-winning Christian pop duo for KING & COUNTRY returns to Santander Arena on April 24, in support of their upcoming album "What Are We Waiting For?", due out March 11. The platinum-selling duo's first album of new music in three years features 13 original tracks from Joel and Luke Smallbone. They'll be joined by platinum-selling artist Dante Bowe of Maverick City.

Theater

Reading Community Players will present "Present Laughter" by Noel Coward on Nov. 19-21 at the Baer Memorial Reception Hall, Sixth and Cherry streets. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Nov. 19 and 20 and 3 p.m. Nov. 21. In Coward's play, Garry Essendine is self-absorbed actor going through a midlife crisis. As he prepares for a trip abroad, his past catches up with him in comedic ways. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased either at the door or at readingcommplayers.com.

Reading Community Players is also celebrating its 100th anniversary with a Masquerade Ball at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel on Nov. 13. The event starts at 5 p.m. and will involve entertainment by former RCP scholarship winners, drinks, dinner, auctions, raffles, and music and dancing. Reading Community Players was founded by the Rev. L. Griswold Williams of the Universalist Unitarian Church in Reading in October 1920. It is the third oldest volunteer community theater in Pennsylvania, and the 11th oldest in the United States.

The celebration had originally been scheduled for October 2020 but was postponed due to the pandemic.

Opera

Berks Opera presents "Unleashing Your Inner Opera Fan" on Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. at the Wyomissing Public Library, 9 Reading Blvd., Wyomissing. The multimedia presentation series is presented by Educational Outreach Director David Richie. The opera is "Die Fledermaus," by Strauss, and the presentation is called "Going Batty Over Operetta" or "What's the Difference, Anyway?" Guest artists will be Mary McCormick, soprano, and Caleb Flick, pianist. Admission $20 for adults and seniors; $10 for students and under age 30. Cash or checks are accepted at the door.
