Bill Clinton to attend Harry Reid's annual Las Vegas clean energy summit

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Former Democratic President Bill Clinton is returning to Las Vegas to promote Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's annual clean energy conference.

Reid announced Wednesday that Clinton will give the keynote address at the National Clean Energy Summit on Aug. 7. The event at the Bellagio hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip promotes clean energy legislation and jobs.

Reid, a Nevada Democrat, first hosted Clinton at the event in 2009.

United Steelworkers International President Leo Gerard and American Wind Energy Association CEO Denise Bode will also speak at the conference.
