On Thursday, Lil Yachty was supposed to perform on the biggest stage at the South by Southwest Music Festival, the amphitheater at Waterloo Park. As heavy storms moved into the area around 9 p.m., the show was paused and the park was evacuated out of safety concerns. A few minutes later the festival paused all outdoor shows. As the storm pummeled Austin, the Yachty show was canceled.

The show was part of Billboard Magazine's series The Stage at SXSW. The series is open to SXSW badge and wristband-holders, but individual tickets are on sale to the general public. On Friday, a representative from Billboard said refunds would be issued for Thursday night's show.
