Billie Eilish's new documentary includes surprise cameos from Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom - even though Eilish didn't recognize the iconic "Lord of the Rings" actor.

"Billie Eilish: The World's a Little Blurry" chronicles Eilish's breakneck rise to stardom, ending with her historic sweep at the 2020 Grammy Awards.

About halfway through the film, Eilish gives her debut performance at Coachella in 2019. But before taking the stage, the teenager's mom says that Perry wants to come backstage and say hi.

Eilish is then shown greeting and hugging Perry, who introduces her to Bloom, referring to him as "my fiancé."

Bloom appears, gives Eilish a big hug, and gushes about her song "Bad Guy."

In the next scene, after the couple has left, Eilish's brother Finneas O'Connell is shown imitating Bloom's accent as he sang his sister's praises.

Eilish asks simply, "Who was that?"

"Orlando Bloom," O'Connell replies. "He played Will Turner in f---ing 'Pirates of the Caribbean.'"

"That guy?" Eilish exclaims. "That was him? No way! Bring him back! I wanna meet him again. He kissed me on the cheek!"

"I did not know that was him," she adds after looking at photos of Bloom as Will Turner. "I thought that was just some dude Katy Perry met."

Just before Eilish is set to perform, the actor does reappear backstage to give her more hugs and kisses.

"This is the universe hugging you," he says. "I'm giving you so much love and light right now."

"You don't even understand, my 9-year-old self, bro," Eilish replies. "You're a f---ing, I don't even know! Oh my lord. Thank you for everything you do."

As he walks away, Eilish says to the camera, "Now I know."

The lighthearted sequence comes in the midst of a fairly heavy film, which sees Eilish coping with everything from performance anxiety and stressful songwriting sessions to clinical depression, heartbreak, and Tourette syndrome - all while she's thrust into an ever-brighter spotlight.

"I can't have one moment," she tells her mom later, following a particularly taxing meet-and-greet. "I can't have one moment where I'm like, 'You know what, I don't wanna do this.' Not one."

"I don't want anyone who knows who I am and is any sort of fan, or knows a fan, to see me in any sort of awkward situation. It's embarrassing. And I have to keep smiling, and if I don't, then they hate me and they think I'm horrible. That's not fair."

"The World's a Little Blurry" will be released on Apple TV+ on Friday. Watch the official trailer here.
