  • Pop singer Billie Eilish was the 2020 Grammy Awards’ biggest winner last night, having won the ceremony's top four categories.

  • Eilish became the youngest artist in Grammy history to take home wins for Best New Artist, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year.

Billie Eilish’s first visit to the Grammy Awards was a history-making event.

The “Bad Guy” singer swept all four major categories at the 62nd annual Grammy Awards last night, earning top wins for Best New Artist, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year. At just 18 years old, the feat makes her the youngest artist in Grammy history be nominated in all four top categories, as well as the youngest to sweep them all.

Eilish, alongside pop singer Lizzo, was the only musical act since Sam Smith in 2015 to be nominated in every top category. While accepting her back-to-back wins onstage, Eilish shook her head in disbelief at the results.

“Mainly I think the fans deserve everything. I feel like they have not been talked about enough tonight, because they’re the only reason any of us are here at all,” Eilish said to the crowd while accepting her win for Best New Artist. “So, thank you to the fans. You guys make this worth it.”

Eilish’s brother, Finneas O’Connell, joined his sister onstage during her Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year wins. Together, they produced and created Eilish’s futuristic, indie-pop sound that has dominated airwaves.

When accepting their fourth and final award of the evening, the siblings ran out of words and simply addressed the crowd with a simultaneous “Thank you!” before excitedly exiting the stage.
