Billionaire Media Executive Shari Redstone Selling Massachusetts Mansion for $2.25 Million

The daughter of media mogul Sumner Redstone also has an apartment in New York City

Aside from its very public battle for control of the National Amusements theater chain (the parent company of CBS Corporation and Viacom), the Redstone family remains fiercely private. That’s especially true for Shari Redstone, daughter of billionaire Sumner Redstone. But the recent listing of her Westwood, Massachusetts, house offers a peek into her lifestyle.

Though Redstone is an heir to billions, her Westwood mansion is listed at just $2.25 million. But just because the price tag is perhaps more moderate than those of other billionaire homes does not mean the property isn't impressive. Located on two acres, the beautiful five-bedroom, six-and-half-bath, 7,015-square-foot dwelling is the perfect country home for a busy executive.

Upon entering through large wooden doors, you’re greeted with a grand staircase and a double-height foyer. From there, you can head into one of the many common areas, including a living room, a family room, a dining room, and a study, all with fireplaces. There’s also a sunroom with a built-in aquarium and a finished lower level with a billiard room, a game room, a gym, and a theater.

According to Realtor.com, Redstone loves to cook and bake, which could explain why the home boasts a huge kitchen complete with three walk-in pantries, a center island, and chef-worthy appliances. The media exec remodeled the kitchen in 2012, modernizing it with light wooden cabinetry and a honeycomb-pattern tiled backsplash.

All of the bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, and the master suite also boasts a sauna and steam shower, making the home a spa-like escape for the busy businesswoman. According to Boston Magazine, Redstone frequently shuttled between her New York City apartment and the Massachusetts country house.
