Bills’ Brian Daboll among best odds to become Raiders next head coach

After last offseason’s coaching carousel concluded, some in Buffalo felt fortunate for their Bills.
Both of the team’s top assistants, offensive coordinator Brian Daboll and defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier, were interviewing for head coaching positions. Neither landed one and they’re back.
But that certainly could change this upcoming spring and it’s already looking like a bit of a possibility.
Earlier this week, Las Vegas Raiders head coach Jon Gruden resigned amid controversy. The oddsmakers weren’t far behind.
In naming potential candidates to replace Gruden next offseason, Daboll saw his name placed very high. Via Raiders Wire, the OC opened with the second-best odds to be named the next head coach in Las Vegas at +650.
The only coach with better odds was Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bienemy at +600.

Without a doubt both Daboll and Frazier will likely see interviews again next offseason. It remains to be seen if they’re hired.
Both Buffalo assistants seemed to have one foot out of the door just a few months ago. Frazier was a finalist for the Houston Texans’ vacancy. Daboll interviewed with both the New York Jets and Los Angeles Chargers.
We now know how those turned out.
Daboll is currently the reigning NFL Assistant Coach of the Year as well and still didn’t get hired.
Wishing Daboll the best, but the Bills and Buffalo won’t be mad if he’s in Orchard Park for an extended period.
