Two Rock and Roll Hall of Famers will share Music City's biggest concert stage next year.

"Piano Man" Billy Joel and longtime Fleetwood Mac singer-songwriter Stevie Nicks co-headline a show at Nissan Stadium on May 19, 2023, a Friday night. Tickets will go on sale Friday, November 11 at 10 a.m.

Representatives for concert mega-promoter Live Nation and the Tennessee Titans leadership announced the event Thursday at a press conference on the Nissan Stadium field.

The show may also be a rarer occasion than your typical stadium tour, according to Wilson Howard, Chairman of Live Nation's southeast division.

At press time, Nashville’s was one of three shows announced, along with Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium and AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

“This is a select few cities, at this point,” Howard said. “I think there may be five to seven shows. This is not something you can see in every city. It's going to be very special. Don't miss this one.”

The news comes nearly a decade since Joel — known for piano-driven pop staples "Uptown Girl," "My Life" and "Vienna" — previously played Music City. His last Nashville tour stop came in 2014 at Bridgestone Arena. He returned to Middle Tennessee a year later to headline Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in nearby Manchester, Tennessee.

Meanwhile, Nicks — the voice of classic rock staples "Landslide," "Rhiannon," "Dreams" and "Edge of Seventeen" —confirms her return to Nashville days after headlining a soggy October show at Ascend Amphitheater. Earlier this year, she made history at Bonnaroo by becoming the first woman to headline the festival.

As the Titans and Nashville Mayor John Cooper propose a $2.1B deal to build a new state-of-the-art stadium, officials praised the "world-class organization" that has presented concerts and events at the existing stadium since it opened in 1999.

“Nashville is incredibly lucky to be the home of the Tennessee Titans," said Sally Williams, President, Nashville Music & Business Strategy at Live Nation.

"But I would say that we're just as fortunate to have the Titans organization working behind the scenes to create these amazing experiences for music creators and music fans.”
