One of the biggest growth and development projects in Cape Coral's history has people talking.

On Thursday (Oct. 19) a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the $100 million Bimini Square, a mixed-use development project west of Four Freedoms Park. It will include luxury apartments, a Deep Lagoon waterfront restaurant, and shops on three sites south of Cape Coral Parkway and west of Sunset Court.

Big changes in any community like this one will have people going to social media and sharing their opinions − for, against and somewhere in the middle. Not surprisingly, traffic, affordable housing and the environment are the top concerns for those opposed to Bimini Square.
