Bird flu has no impact on food supply or humans, extension educator says
Apr. 9—ELKHART — Avian influenza has been detected in an Elkhart County duck farm, but a Purdue Extension educator says the disease has no impact on food supply or humans.
Laboratory testing of a commercial duck flock has come back as presumptively positive for the virus, the Indiana State Board of Animal Health said Thursday night, marking the disease's spread to a third poultry species.
