Biscuits breakdown: Wizards, t-shirts and bacon fun ahead May 30-June 4

The Rocket City Trash Pandas are rolling into Montgomery starting Tuesday, May 30, for a week of baseball action downtown at Riverwalk Stadium.

But there’s a lot more than that for fans, including giveaways for “Shirseys,” bacon-themed bobbleheads, and player pillows. Plus we’ve got a special night full of magic planned, and MAX Fireworks.

Here’s what’s happening:

  • Tuesday, May 30: Game time 6:35 p.m. — It’s Taco Tuesday, so come hungry and visit the Golden Sombrero to get $2 beef and $3 chicken soft shell tacos.

  • Wednesday, May 31: Game time 6:35 p.m. — It’s Military Wednesday, so show some patriotism. All active, veteran and retired military personnel with a military ID get admission, food and drink discounts. $5 craft beer drafts at the Club Car Bar.

  • Thursday, June 1: Game time 6:35 p.m. — It’s a “Shirsey” giveaway! What's a "Shirtsey" you ask? You'll have to get to the game early to get one free — a Biscuits jersey in t-shirt form. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. This giveaway is for the first 1,000 fans age 15 and older. And for those 21 and older, it’s also Thirsty Thursday night — half off on domestic drafts and cans throughout the ballpark.

  • Friday, June 2: Game Time 6:35 p.m. — Can you smell that? It’s Bacon Night at the ballpark, and they’re giving away bacon biscuit bobbleheads to the first 1,000 fans of all ages. Don't eat them, but they're bound to have some tasty bacon treats at the concession stands. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.

  • Saturday, June 3: Game time 6:05 p.m. — It’s Wizard Night at Riverwalk Stadium. Do you want to wave a wand and be like Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, or maybe even Ronald Weasley? Come dressed as your favorite wizards and get ready for a magical evening of fun. After the game, there are MAX fireworks.

  • Sunday, June 4: Game time 3:33 p.m. — Ever dreamed of resting your head on a Biscuits player? Here's your chance. Get a free Lil’ Crumbs Player Pillow. It’s for the first 500 kids age 14 and under. Get there early. Gates open at 2:30 p.m. While you’re there early, you can go play catch on the field from 2:30-3 p.m. Bring your own ball and glove. Sunday is also Bark in the Park, so your leashed canine companions are invited out for a day of fun also. Stick around after the game for kids to run around the bases. The line will start at the top of section 117 in the 9th inning.
