Bisons announce 2024 promotional schedule, including Star Wars Night, Hockey Day

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Buffalo Bisons announced their 2024 promotional schedule Thursday, highlighted by the team’s annual Star Wars Night in May.

Among the most popular returning promotional games are:

  • Star Wars Night – 6:05 p.m. May 25 vs. St. Paul

  • Lacrosse Night with the Buffalo Bandits – 6:35 p.m. June 27 vs. Syracuse

  • Independence Eve Celebration with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra – 6:05 p.m. July 3 vs. Rochester

  • Marvel’s Defenders of the Diamond Night – 6:35 p.m. Aug. 10 vs. Rochester

  • Hockey Day with the Buffalo Sabres – 1:05 p.m. Sept. 7 vs. Lehigh Valley

Additionally, 18 games are slated to have postgame fireworks, including 12 Honda fridaynightbash games.

Opening Day for the Bisons is scheduled for 2:05 p.m. March 29 vs. Scranton/Wilkes Barre and will feature two giveaways: a 2024 magnet schedule and an ice scraper, which could still be of use considering the time of year.

Other giveaways include a fanny pack on Mother’s Day, May 12, and a logo baseball for Father’s Day, June 16. The Bisons plan to have a bobblehead giveaway during the 2024 season, but that date has yet to be announced.

Fans can also score a deal early in the season, as any ticket purchased now through the end of January for a March or April home game will include two free hot dogs.

There will also be six Dog Days at the Park throughout the season, one each month, beginning April 27.

  • Princess Day – 1:05 p.m. June 30 vs. Syracuse

  • School Kids Day – 11:05 a.m. May 23 vs. St. Paul

  • Campout Series (Boy Scouts) – 6:05 p.m. May 10 vs. Worcester

  • Campout Series (Girl Scouts) – 7:05 p.m. July 19 vs. Scranton/Wilkes Barre

  • Family Campout – 7:05 p.m. July 26 vs. Syracuse

  • Irish Night – 6:35 p.m. June 25 vs. Syracuse

  • Italian Night – 6:35 p.m. July 23 vs. Syracuse

  • Polish Night – 6:35 p.m. Aug. 6 vs. Rochester

  • Hispanic Heritage Night – 6:05 p.m. Sept. 6 vs. Lehigh Valley

  • Native American Heritage Night – 6:35 p.m. June 15 vs. Worcester

  • Pride Night – 6:05 p.m. May 21 vs. St. Paul

  • World Softball Day – 6:35 p.m. June 13 vs. Worcester

  • Strike Out Cancer Night – 1:05 p.m. Aug. 11 vs. Rochester

  • Military & First Responders Day – 6:05 p.m. Sept. 8 vs. Lehigh Valley

  • Deaf & Hard of Hearing Awareness Night – 6:05 p.m. Sept. 19 vs. Scranton/Wilkes Barre

  • Friendship Bracelet Night – 6:05 p.m. May 24 vs. St. Paul

  • Celery-brate the Summer – 7:05 p.m. June 28 vs. Syracuse

  • Olympics Night – 7:05 p.m. July 26 vs. Syracuse

  • Obscure Jersey Night – 7:05 p.m. Aug. 9 vs. Rochester
